The American people want to know, “Where are the jobs?” Forty-nine percent of jobs over the last decade have been created in Texas! Texas is leading our country out of this sluggish economy the President and Senate Democrats continue champion.
Your Republican House of Representatives have 40+ jobs bills sitting on Majority Leader Harry Reid’s desk that would do the following:
• Tax relief for families and small businesses
• Less regulations on job creators
• Stable business environment to allow business and investor confidence to grow
I believe it would be wise for President Obama and Senate Democrats to take a page out of the Texas play book for all Americans. It’s time to put more Texas in Washington and less Washington in Texas!
Our great country is being lead down a dangerous path. President Obama’s “Culture of Cover-ups” must be stopped. From Benghazi, the IRS, Fast and Furious, the VA and even the Fort Hood shooting, this President and those working for him continue to lie and cover-up their mistakes.
I have stood up against the Culture of Cover-ups by the Obama Administration and vow to continue my stand against Obama’s deceitful reign.
• I co-sponsored the STOP Targeting of Political Beliefs by the IRS Act as well as several other bills that would put an end to the targeted abuse of conservative groups by the IRS.
• I secured an FBI investigation into the Temple VA Hospital in July 2014 after discovering the hospital was falsifying records.
• I co-sponsored a resolution that established a select committee to investigate the Embassy attack in Libya.
• I have consistently introduced bills advocating for the victims of the 2009 Fort Hood shooting, most recently including language in the National Defense Authorization Act of 2014.
• As Chairman of the Department of Homeland Security Subcommittee on Appropriations, I personally included language in the DHS Appropriations Bill placing transparency measures on the DHS handling of ammo.
• Through several bills that I have co-sponsored, I have repeatedly called for U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder’s immediate resignation and that he be found in contempt of Congress.
• I will not apologize for continually voting to delay, defund, and dismantle Obamacare. I have voted for the Keep Your Health Plan Act, which enables patients to keep their existing health plans and physicians for an additional year.
The American people not only deserve the truth, we demand it. I promise to continue my fight against this President, his Administration and the democrat Senate, who think they are above the law.
Our Texas economy is a model for the rest of the country to get back to work! The President and the Democrat Senate need to cut spending, tighten the budget and demand regulators to loosen their vice-grip on our economy!
The individual is the solution to our economic recovery, not another government program and/or giveaway. It’s the grit and determination of Americans that has and will continue make this the best country in the world.
American’s will rebuild their communities together, not Washington bureaucrats micro-managing our lives. “We need more Texas in Washington and less Washington in Texas”.
Texas is leading the way and it’s time to share the message of continued success!
I believe that life begins at conception and that all life is a precious gift from God.
Just as we have fought for freedom and justice throughout our nation’s history, we must fight for the lives of the hundreds of thousands of unborn children who are aborted in the U.S. every year.
I’m proud to be endorsed by National Right to Life, the nation’s largest pro-life organization.
My policies and my vote will unwaveringly fight to protect the precious lives of those who cannot protect themselves.
It’s important we fix the broken immigration system that continues to encourage the drug cartels to sneak people and drugs into this country illegally. We must create a system that encourages immigrate legally and punishes those who enter illegally!
As a Member of Congress from Texas who is married to an immigrant, I believe we must provide a solution to create a sustainable system. Texas is on the front lines and has the most experience with this broken immigration issue. Texas shares the most miles with Mexico (1,241 miles out of 1,933 miles total). As Texans, we go to church together, our kids go to school together, and we shop at the grocery store together. However, we all must live under the rule of law, which is what our country was founded upon more than 200 years ago.
As I travel throughout Central Texas, my neighbors and I continue to talk about immigration in a different tone than the rest of the country or mass media. We believe we should: First, secure the border with additional Border Patrol and ICE Agents. We must build more infrastructure along the border to allow 100% situational awareness, continue to invest in technology, and repeal the 2008 DACA law so all illegal immigrants are treated equal. Secondly, to grow our economy, we must meet the needs in the industries with workforce shortages (Hi-tech, agriculture, construction, restaurant, hospitality, etc.) so America continues to be a global leader. Lastly, we must implement E-verify on every employee in the country so we can ensure that taxes are paid, American jobs are created, and employers are punished if they participate in the illegal workforce industry.
Immigration is an emotional issue but we can fix the problem with logical and compassionate solutions. As Americans we can find a solution to secure our border, grow our economy, create jobs, punish illegal activity and continue to be the most competitive and compassionate country in the world!
I’m honored, privileged, and humbled by the opportunity to represent the greatest fighting force on the face of earth, Phantom Warrior’s at Ft. Hood, Texas. I carry this badge of honor throughout my daily prayers, committee work on Defense Subcommittee on Appropriations and Co-Chairman of the Army Caucus.
I will provide the same commitment our men and women and their families provide for the Citizens of the United States of America to secure the funds to allow them to continue being the beacon of Liberty throughout the World. In addition, that commitment follows those heroes’ home to the spouses and their families whose sacrifice shall never be overlooked!
Unfortunately, other things have to followed us home. When radical Islamic terror struck in the heart of our congressional district at Fort Hood in November 2009, I spoke out loudly and clearly on the terror links that led to the death of 13 adults and one unborn child. The Department of Defense has amazingly refused to even use the words “radical Islam” in any of its descriptions of the attack, or in any recommended security improvements to prevent future attacks. I have authored and will continue to push legislation to give our dead and wounded from the Fort Hood attack the same recognition awarded to our casualties at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, as well as providing their families the same level of benefits. And I will never, ever yield to politically-correct pressure from the Obama Administration to stop calling our enemies by name.
I will proudly stand up for our troops despite the Administration continuing to “Hollow” our force in the face of all ISIS, Russia, North Korea, any future domestic or foreign enemy.
As a gun owner and a Concealed Handgun License (CHL) holder, I understand both the importance of responsible gun ownership. My entire office went through the CHL course together.
I also understand the gravity of the war against our Second Amendment rights. The right to bear arms is an intrinsic part of our freedom, our ability to protect that freedom, and our ability to protect our families and our property.
As a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), I’m proud to receive their endorsement.
I pledge to fight against restrictive gun legislation.
