Texas Alliance for Life Releases First Round of Endorsements for Federal Offices

Texas Alliance for Life, Inc., is proud to release our first list of endorsed candidates for federal office for the Primary and General Elections.

We are very pleased to endorse for reelection for President and Vice President Donald J. Trump and Mike Pence, respectively.

President Trump and Vice President Pence have vastly advanced the Pro-Life Movement by protecting unborn children and their mothers from abortion, prohibiting taxpayer-funded abortions, securing conscience protections for medical providers, and preventing the promotion of abortion abroad through U.S. programs and the United Nations.

Those accomplishments include:

• Confirming 164 pro-life federal judges, including two Supreme Court justices (Neil Gorsuch and Brent Kavanaugh), 48 U.S. Courts of Appeals judges, 112 District Court judges, and two judges to the United States Court of International Trade.
• Issued Title X “Protect Life” rules, which caused Planned Parenthood to entirely withdraw from the program thereby forgoing approximately $60 million annually.
• Stopped U.S. tax dollars from funding abortion overseas by reinstating the Mexico City Policy. They further expanded it to the new Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance program to ensure that our tax dollars are protected from funding the abortion industry overseas across $8.8 billion in global health spending.
• Defunded the pro-abortion United Nations Fund for Population Assistance (UNFPA), which has long been complicit in China’s oppressive population control activities, including birth limitation policies and forced abortions. President Trump’s State Department cut U.S. Taxpayer funding to the UNFPA.
• Repeatedly signed federal budgets that include the pro-life Hyde Amendment which prevents federal taxpayer dollars from funding abortion in Medicaid and other social services programs.

We are also pleased to endorse for reelection United States Senator John Cornyn, who is a recent recipient of Texas Alliance for Life’s Courageous Defense of Life award.
